The NSCA Rules and Classification Committee recently conducted an online survey of NSCA members to determine your opinions about the classification system, whether any changes were needed and how it might be improved upon. With 4,307 members responding — including 2,188 who took the time to add comments to their survey — the committee has a great deal of material to digest and opinions to consider. Responses included a good representation across all the classes, from E to Master.
Because every shooter has his or her own perspective on classification based on their own goals, commitment to competition, the number of targets shot, shoots they participate in, where they compete, and many other factors, opinions vary a great deal.
Over the coming weeks, the committee will continue evaluating the survey results to determine what action, if any, needs to be recommended to the Advisory Council. The committee offers its sincere “thank you” to all the members who participated in the survey.
