Following competition at the 2018 World FITASC Championship, the USA FITASC Team is on the way home from Saint-Lambert, France with three team Gold Medals, two Silver Medals, and six individual medals for team members. In addition, Zachary Kienbaum led for much of the competition and finished with the highest score among American competitors, taking the individual Silver Medal.
The Junior Team of Brice Grantham, Dominic Gross, and Tom Seay won team Gold, and Grantham and Gross also won individual Gold and Silver, respectively. USA Ladies (Desirae Edmunds, Ashley Little, and Diane Sorantino) also won Gold, with Edmunds taking the individual Bronze Medal. Veterans earned the third team Gold for the USA, with David Cole, Gary Walstrom, and Randy Travalia doing the honors.
Taking Silver Medals were the Men (Derrick Mein, Kevin DeMichiel, Gregg Wolf, and Wendell Cherry) and Seniors (Bill McGuire, Nadim Nasir, Jr., and Andy Duffy) teams. In individual competition, Senior Curt Halbakken won a Bronze Medal and Michael Taylor won Gold in the Master category.
