NSCA National Delegate Nominations Now Open

July 1, 2026 By Sherry Kerr

Nominations are now open for the position of National Delegate for the National Sporting Clays Association for the 2027-2028 term.

Nomination forms must be received by July 21 at midnight CT.

The number of National Delegates from each state is determined by the number of members in that state as of December 31, 2025. You can view the number of positions allocated to each state on the nomination form. The new Delegates will take office on January 1, 2027, and serve through December 31, 2028.

Any candidate must have the endorsement of five current, paid members of NSCA from the state he or she would represent. The nominee and the five endorsers must sign the nomination form and provide their member numbers.

Only fully-paid, current NSCA members in good standing qualify to run for National Delegate or endorse a candidate; Complimentary Limited Members (CLMs) or Crossfire members (NSSA members registering NSCA targets) are not eligible.

Current National Delegates may run for the office again, but they are not automatically placed on the ballot. The nomination and election procedure is the same as for other candidates.

Following the election of National Delegates, a 15-member Executive Council will be chosen. Three National Delegates from each of the five NSCA regions will be elected to the Executive Council. Remember, Executive Council members must first be elected as National Delegates.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

1. Complete a Nomination Form. Download the Delegate Nomination Form and provide all the requested information.

2. Obtain endorsement signatures on the NSCA Delegate Candidate Endorsements form (page 2 of the nomination form). You may have all five to sign that form and submit all signatures at once, or you may submit individual forms for each signatory. To do the latter, simply download the form, email it to your endorsers, and request that they sign and email the form to us. Make sure the candidate’s name and state are filled in at the top.

3. Email nomination form and endorsements to NSCAElection@nssa-nsca.com. You may also send any election-related questions to that address.

4. NEW – Complete a brief bio. Click on this link to provide some information about yourself. While this is not required to be able to run for the position, you are encouraged to do so to allow voters to make informed decisions.

5. Watch for our confirmation. Once your nomination form has been vetted for having met all requirements, you will receive an email advising that it has been received and accepted. If all requirements are not met, you will receive an email explaining what is needed to complete your submission. If you don’t receive an email, please allow two (2) business days after your submission before contacting us at NSCAElection@nssa-nsca.com to check on it. If you are running for a position, please add NSCAElection@nssa-nsca.com to your address book to ensure you receive our email.

The deadline to submit nomination materials is July 21, 2026 at midnight CT.

National Delegates serve an important role in the governance of our organization, and we hope you will consider serving the association and your fellow members in this capacity or nominating another qualified individual. We want every state to have the full voting power to which it is entitled. Each member in every state should share the responsibility of nominating enough potential National Delegates to fill all of the allotted slots, as well as urge all other members in your state to cast a vote in the election.
