On May 26, 2026, the NSCA Executive Council voted to update the voting procedures for the World FITASC, World English, and US Open. The selection process is now underway for the host clubs of the 2028 NSCA US Open and World English Championships; World FITASC bids are due August 31 and will be added to this post soon after. National Delegates are urged to review the bid materials and participate in the process.
The New Voting Process:
a. Have all clubs provide a bid and video submission by July 31, 2026
b. On video submission deadline, Headquarters will post all videos on YouTube and a landing page on the website. We will then email the link out to all National Delegates along with the bid package for each club and encourage them to share their top choice with the EC members in their Region by October 19.
c. All bidders will be invited to the National Delegate Meeting to do a short presentation of no more than five (5) minutes to the body
d. Once presentations for all events have been made a ballot for all three events will be passed out and the EC will cast their vote via Ranked Ballot Voting (outlined below) to determine the host club.
e. If an Executive Council member is absent from the National Delegate meeting or abstains from a specific vote due to conflict of interest, a proxy will be assigned to vote in their place. The proxy will be selected from the Delegates who ran for an EC position in the region of the EC member(s) not voting and who did not get elected. The number of votes they received during that election will be used to determine the proxy. If these individuals are unable to vote also then the proxy will be selected from the Delegates in that region who have been in office the longest for at least three consecutive terms and who received the highest number of votes during the last election.

Ranked Ballot Voting Procedure:
- Each championship event is voted on independently by ballot during a single voting session.
- Executive Council members will rank only clubs bidding for that event in order of preference, with “1” representing their top choice.
- Each club must be given a rank for the ballot to be valid.
- All bidding clubs must receive a unique ranking on each ballot. Duplicate rankings are not permitted.
- Rankings will be converted into weighted point values, and totals will be tabulated during the meeting. Each ranking position on a ballot is assigned a numerical point value, with the highest-ranked club receiving the greatest number of points and each subsequent ranking receiving progressively fewer points.
- In the event of a tie in weighted score, the tied club receiving the greatest number of first-place rankings will prevail. If still tied, a runoff vote between tied clubs will be conducted.
- If a club is selected as the top-ranked bidder for multiple events, the club must choose which event it wishes to host. Any remaining event(s) will automatically be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible bidder based on the original ballot results.
- Executive Council members with a declared conflict of interest will be required to recuse themselves from voting on a specific event.
