The NSCA Executive Committee has approved an update and clarification to tournament rule VII-B-7 regarding the use of electronic and recording devices during competition. Updated Rule VII-B-7 now states: “During any registered event, while in the shooting stand shooters may not use any devices capable of recording, transmitting, or displaying live video [or] images, providing or allowing verbal feedback, or transmitting any other information. Wilgus and Orr Selected for 2026 Hall of Fame Induction
The National Sporting Clays Association is proud to announce that Mike Wilgus and Dee Orr have been selected for induction into the NSCA Hall of Fame in 2026. Both will be formally honored this October during the National Championship. Wilgus, recognized in the Shooter category, has built one of the most accomplished competitive resumes in sporting clays. Proposed Bill Could Impact Some Clubs’ Activities
NSCA members and affiliated clubs are encouraged to be aware of a developing legislative issue that could have meaningful implications for hunting traditions, dog training, and certain club operations across the country. Executive Council member Chris Higgins (CO) brought attention to a provision within the federal Farm Bill — H.R. 5017 — that is drawing concern from the sporting and hunting community. We have been made aware of scam emails being sent showing the NSSA-NSCA name and with our logos, purporting to be information verifications. What we have seen shows a FINAL WARNING heading and provides contact information to be verified. This email is not from us, but instead appears to be a phishing email that may contain harmful links. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Scarsella on February 22, 2026.
