NSSA and NSCA have doubled their commitment to their scholarship programs and will each award four $5000 college scholarships this year to deserving members who will graduate from high school and start a four-year college program in 2020. Get 2020 Member Credentials at New “My Home Page”
The previous shoot year has been processed, and 2020 Classification Cards are ready for members. New in 2020: Your Member ID and Classification Card will not be mailed to you via U.S. mail. Instead, you can access them immediately by logging in to MyNSSA.com or MyNSCA.com. Navigate to the Members menu and choose My Home Page. New Sub-Gauge Classification
The new Sub-Gauge classification does not go into effect until January 1, 2021. The NSCA Executive Council is currently working on the details and the verbiage for the new rule so we can get the programming written for the NSCA database. Until that time, shooters will continue as in the past with the current single classification system. Two NSCA Rule Changes Approved
NSCA National Delegates recently voted on two rule changes, and both were approved by a majority of the Delegates. Both rules will take effect on January 1, 2021 for the 2021 shoot year. The new rules and the vote count for each are: Rule #1 - Sub-Gauge Classification Creation of a separate Sub-Gauge Class System - Starting January 1, 2021, any sub-gauge event (defined as any event using a shotgun that is not 12-gauge and is smaller in diameter than 12-gauge) would have a separate class system. NSSA Endowment Exploration Framework
At the recent winter meeting of NSSA and NSCA governing bodies, a plan was made to explore a potential endowment program to benefit NSSA and NSCA. A workshop will be held to initiate the effort.
