The NSCA Rules and Classification Committee recently conducted an online survey of NSCA members to determine your opinions about the classification system, whether any changes were needed and how it might be improved upon. With 4,307 members responding — including 2,188 who took the time to add comments to their survey — the committee has a great deal of material to digest and opinions to consider. NSCA Year-End Review Criteria: Class Reductions for 2016
In reviewing your member records, you may have noticed a new statistic in your Member Data, the Current Class Ratio. Here's what it means: The NSCA Advisory Council and Executive Council have reviewed the current procedures for end-of-year reviews of members' classifications and have adjusted the process for determining who will be offered down-classing at the 2016 year-end review. New Criteria for End-of-Year Review
NSCAs 2015 end-of-year review will be run approximately January 15, 2016. Please be aware that the criteria for running the end-of-year review have been changed for the 2015 review. The new criteria are as follows: All shooters who are in the Top 60% overall rank of their particular class will remain in that class, along with whatever carry-over punches they have earned in that class. All shooters who fit BOTH of the following criteria will be reclassified to the next lower class: Shot a minimum of 500 targets for the year.
