The January issue of Clay Target Nation is digital only, so even if you normally get the print issue, you will not receive a copy in the mail this month. In February, we’ll be back to our usual print and digital editions. January is our reference issue, and you’ll find it jam-packed with everything you need to know for the upcoming season.
In our Training Tips columns, John Shima has advice for starting the new year off right by learning a new shooting habit or breaking a bad one. Meanwhile, Anthony Matarese Jr. encourages sporting clays shooters to expand their toolkit by learning a new shooting method once they’re proficient with their primary one.
Don’t miss our NSSA-NSCA Frequently Asked Questions, where you can find answers to some of the things you might have been wondering (like why does my card say “Veteran” when I’ve never served in the Armed Forces?) but have never asked. We also have a great spread with some of the best photos of the year we hadn’t yet had a chance to publish. And don’t miss our dual features on the NSSA and NSCA Certified Instructor programs, which you’ll find helpful whether you’re searching for an instructor or considering becoming one.
And then for the reference pages. You’ll find lists of the leaders and governing bodies for NSSA and NSCA, the top 100 shoots of 2024, and, notably, huge lists containing every registered shoot for 2025 that had been scheduled and submitted to the NSSA-NSCA by mid-December, sorted by state. This is the perfect opportunity to plan your shooting season!
