USA Teams to Forego World English, FITASC Events

After conversations with many of the USA Sporting Clays Team members, as well as discussions with the NSCA Executive Committee, the decision has been made not to send the USA teams to the 2021 World English Championship nor the 2021 World FITASC Championship this year. Their feedback regarding health, testing protocols, and quality of the experience led many team members to make the decision to forego the trips. The USA Sporting Clays Team is facing a funding challenge in 2021: high travel costs with two world events being held in Europe, and a shortfall in resources after many funding sources were canceled in 2020. Congratulations to John Wilkerson of St. Louis, Missouri, winner of the Krieghoff K-80 San Remo shotgun valued at $28,495. The winner will have a choice of Pro Sporter or Standard Sporter models with 30" or 32" barrels. USA, Bobby Fowler Are World English Champs

USA, Bobby Fowler Are World English Champs

The USA swept the major awards at the 2017 World English Sporting Championship, with Bobby Fowler winning top individual honors as World Champion and USA Sporting Clays Team members winning each concurrent. 917 shooters from 17 countries competed in the event, April 25-30 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. Fowler and George Digweed entered the Super Final in a tie at 189; followed by Gebben Miles, Bill McGuire, and Ben Husthwaite at 185; and Derrick Mein and 2016 World Champion Anthony Matarese at 184. 2017 NSCA USA Sporting Clays Teams Named

The 2017 USA Sporting Clays Teams have been finalized, and five teams each for Sporting and FITASC have earned the opportunity to represent the U.S. and the NSCA at upcoming international shoots. Being named to the USA Sporting Clays Team is the highest annual honor earned by NSCA members. Teams are selected for Senior (Open), Ladies, Junior, Veteran, and Super Veteran categories. Derrick Mein, USA FITASC Team Are World Champions

American shooters have dominated the world stage yet again with new World Championships for both individuals and teams at the 2016 World FITASC Sporting Championships in Italy. Derrick Mein is the new World FITASC Champion, becoming the second NSCA shooter in less than a month to top the podium at a world event, following Anthony Matarese Jr.'s World English win. Anthony Matarese Brings World Championship to USA

Anthony Matarese Jr. has become the first American ever to win the World English Sporting Championship, taking the individual Gold Medal last week on the E.J. Churchill Shooting Grounds in England. Matarese finished the regulation main event with a three-target lead and held the margin through the six-man super final shoot-off to earn the World Championship. USA Sporting Clays Team Earning Medals at World English

The USA Sporting Clays Team has claimed its share of medals in every event to date at the World English Sporting Championship, ongoing at the legendary E.J. Churchill sporting grounds in England.
