The National Shooting Complex has added Score Chaser to the portfolio of registration/scoring platforms it will use in the future for NSCA events. In 2023, the NSC will use Score Chaser for two flagship events it will host – the National Sporting Clays Championship and the Texas State Sporting Clays Championship. NSSA-NSCA Acquires Property Adjacent to NSC
On December 31, NSSA-NSCA completed the purchase of 23+ acres adjoining the National Shooting Complex that creates a buffer from development and helps protect the association’s investment in its San Antonio, Texas, property. The land purchase is an important investment in the future of the National Shooting Complex, preventing any type of encroachments of residential or commercial development adjacent to our property boundary. USA, Bobby Fowler Are World English Champs
The USA swept the major awards at the 2017 World English Sporting Championship, with Bobby Fowler winning top individual honors as World Champion and USA Sporting Clays Team members winning each concurrent. 917 shooters from 17 countries competed in the event, April 25-30 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. Fowler and George Digweed entered the Super Final in a tie at 189; followed by Gebben Miles, Bill McGuire, and Ben Husthwaite at 185; and Derrick Mein and 2016 World Champion Anthony Matarese at 184. Alternate Routes to NSC to Avoid Construction Traffic
Road construction on Culebra Rd./Hwy. 471 along the north side of the National Shooting Complex property has significantly slowed down traffic coming to the complex. With heavier-than-usual traffic during the World Skeet Championships and National Sporting Clays Championship, the problem is only likely to get worse.
