Pro Class Created, Super Squad Is Now Pro Squad
NSCA announces a program name change for the 2024 Pro Squad, formerly known as the Super Squad, for the 2024 National Sporting Clays Championship, and the creation of a Pro Class for Regional, U.S. Open, and National Championship events. Rule Changes Adopted by EC, Delegates
At its January meeting, the NSCA Executive Council proposed three separate rule changes related to classification, European rotations, and rotation of squad positions, and the NSCA Delegates have approved all three proposals. Summary of Classification Changes: Starting January 1, 2025: NSCA will remove E Class. All members in E class for both 12 gauge and sub-gauge will be moved up to D class and start with zero (0) punches. Your 2024 NSCA Member ID and Classification Card are now ready for you to review and download. If your Classification Card indicates that you have been down-classed in the 2023 end-of-year review, you may refuse the down-class in writing. You may either return the Refusal Form at the bottom of your Classification Card or email your request to nbowers@nssa-nsca.com. The National Shooting Complex will have all-new, hand-crafted metal gun racks soon, and you have an opportunity to have your name on one or more of them. Each of the new gun racks will have two 4.5x12” metal plates on opposite sites on which we’ll engrave a sponsor/donor’s name. Final Shots: Kolar’s Don Mainland Passes
We are saddened to report the passing of Don Mainland, the man who established Kolar Arms as one of the leading manufacturers of clay target shotguns since the 1990's. Mainland acquired the company founded by Larry Kolar in the 1980's, moving the tube-set business to his machine shop in Wisconsin. After producing trap guns for Remington, Mainland then began production of Kolar-branded shotguns made in the USA.
